Thank you so much for your interest in Roby Baptist Church! We know being a first-time guest can come with quite a few questions, so we hope this helps set you at ease as you prepare to come worship alongside our church family.

  • What Time are Services?
Sunday Morning Service is at 11 A.M. Sunday School 10 A.M. Sunday Evening Service 6 P.M. Wednesday Night Service 6:30 P.M.
  • What Do We Believe?
A full summary of our essential doctrine beliefs can be found on our about page, but a snapshot of our biblical beliefs and convictions are as follows: The Scriptures: We believe the Bible is God’s perfect, inerrant Word and is totally truth and trustworthy. God: There is only one living and true god who has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. One God, three distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, being or will. God the Son: Jesus Christ is God incarnate – meaning God in the flesh. Jesus is 100% God and 100% man. He was born of the virgin Mary and therefore born completely sinless. He fulfilled God’s law in its entirety and became our substitutionary sacrifice on the cross where He made provision for the redemption from sin. He was resurrected 3 days later and ascended to the right hand of the Father where he reigns and rules today. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and sin. God the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God who inspired men to write the Holy Scriptures; who convicts men of their sins; who indwells every believer; and enlightens and empowers believers in worship, evangelism, and service. Man: God created man and woman in His image. The gift of gender is part of God’s good creation. In the beginning, man was innocent of sin; however, by free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the world. The sacredness of human life is evident in that God created man in His image, and Jesus died for man; therefore, every person of every race possesses full dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love. Salvation: There is no salvation apart from faith in Jesus Christ’s redemptive work. Salvation is not by works but by faith alone in Christ alone. However, good works is the evidence of our salvation. In its broader sense, salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. God’s Purpose of Grace: Election is the gracious purpose of God according to which He regenerates, justifies, sanctify, and glorifies sinners upon their faith in Jesus Christ. It is consistent with the free agency of man. It is the glorious display of God’s sovereign goodness to us. The Church: The Church is the Body of Christ which includes the redeemed from every nation, tribune and tongue from all the ages. The Church is also a localized congregation of believers who gather regularly for worship, fellowship, ministry, evangelism, and discipleship. Baptism and Lord’s Supper: Biblical baptism is the immersion of a believer in water. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is a testimony of the believer’s death to sin, burial of old self, and resurrection to a new life. The Family: God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Biblical marriage is the union between a biological male and biological female.
  • What should I expect on Sunday Mornings?
Sunday Morning Service: At 11 A.M., our worship team lets us know we are ready to start the service! We always start our morning by worshiping through song and a brief good morning welcome by one of our deacons. After singing praises, the morning sermon begins. Roby Baptist Church typically does sermon series on a variety of topics. Our current sermon series can be found on our Facebook Page. At the conclusion of the sermon, we’ll sing another song, worship through the giving of tithes, and pray before being dismissed. We typically wrap up by 12:15.
  • What should I expect in Sunday School?
Sunday School starts at 10 A.M. and lasts about 50 minutes. When attending Sunday School, we suggest entering through the side door located towards the back of our main parking lot, under the awning. Upon entering through the side doors, our greeters can direct you to the location of our classes. We have a variety of Sunday School groups that include: Kids (Pre-K to 6th) Youth Ministry (7th Grade to High School) College/Career Young Adults Middle Adults Senior Adults Nursery care is also provided during Sunday School. Our goal is to provide Bible-based tools for applying the truths of God's Word, to encourage and help adults find their place of service, and to provide opportunities for Christian Fellowship within our church family.
  • What should I expect on Sunday evenings?
On Sunday evening, we enjoy a variety of fellowship activities. It varies from week to week but can include pastoral teaching, concerts, meals, or special events. Services typically last about an hour.
  • What should I expect on Wednesday evenings?
Adult: This gathering is focused on working through a guided Bible Study. The group meets in the sanctuary for about an hour. Mission Kids (Grades Pre-K to 6th): On Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. we have Children in Action during the adult Bible study time. Children in Action is a missions discipleship program. Children learn about and pray for missions and missionaries, actually do mission work, and have a great time! Student Ministry (7th grade to High School): Our student ministry is all about connecting with middle and high school students and their families during this special stage of life. Our youth group meets every Sunday at 10 a.m. and Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. and is tailored for students in grades 7 through 12. The student ministry meets in the youth building which is the large metal building located next to the church playground (the same location as our Helping Hands Clothing Ministry).
  • What should I wear?
Come as you are—Our environment is friendly and dress-casual because it’s not about what you wear, but about encountering God together.
  • What can I expect for my children for Sunday Morning services?
At 11 A.M., our worship team lets us know we are ready to start the service! We all worship in song together (children included). Once we finish singing praises, toddlers and children are dismissed to go to children's church with the exception of the first Sunday of each month where children stay in the sanctuary for the service. We strongly believe in the value of families worshiping together and allowing children to see their parents engaging in corporate worship. Should you prefer to keep your children with you during the service, we fully support that as well! We have several classes depending on your child’s age but please note if you prefer to keep children who are close in age together while they still get comfortable in a new environment, we can absolutely accommodate. Nursery (ages 0-2): In the back of our sanctuary, we have a nursery area where you can have your littlest ones watched during service. This nursery room has a large window that allows you to visually check-in during the service for your peace of mind. Similarly, if you prefer to stay in the nursery with your little one you are able to do so while still being able to listen in on the sermon. Toddler Care (age 3-5): It is never too early to start planting seeds of faith in the hearts of young children! We aim to introduce our toddlers to songs, stories, and age appropriate activities that point back to Jesus. Please note, anyone in the toddler care class should be potty trained. Children's Church (K-4th grade): Our program offers an engaging experience for children from kindergarten to fourth grade during the Sunday morning sermon. Here, young minds embark on a captivating journey to discover God through Bible stories, puppets, songs, and exciting activities. We know the immense responsibility we take on when you entrust your children into our care. Roby Baptist views our children’s safety with the utmost importance. Anyone serving in our children or youth ministries undergoes a background check prior to being allowed to serve. We also have security officers stationed at the entrances to our children’s ministry area during the service as an extra precaution.
  • Where do I park?
Anywhere you want! If the parking lot is full, there is additional parking at the back of the church and by the Helping Hands Ministry.
